Yerevan Children’s 18th bookfair will launch at Khnko Aper National Children’s Library

On February 18-19 at the library will be organized 18th Yerevan Children’s bookfair.  The official opening will be on February 18: in the frame of the opening ceremony the 2021’s best readers of the library will be awarded, and awarding of diplomas of IBBY “Honour list -2020” .On February 19, On Tumanyan’s birthday, which is famous as Book Giving day, is full of different events. Two-day event frame is very comprehensive, which will be both at the library and outside library territory. This year for the first time will be implemented “Your first book” campaign, in the frame of which on Febraury 17-19 the librarians will give books to newborns and their mothers who are discharged from maternity hospitals. At these days the guests of the library will be young, but already famous writers, children’s writers. The solders will read stories for the children at the Fairy tale hall.During bookfair are planned : book exhibitions, presentations, meetings with children’s writers and psychologist, and also will be organized interactive games, quiz, workshops, theatrical performances, cartoon exhibitions, music listening. The library invites the reading public and their children to participate in the events dedicated to the Book Day.
