Armenia participates to Sharjah International Book Fair

to Noyember 9 participates to Sharjah International Book Fair with a separate
the Armenian delegation, led by Khnko Aper National Children's Library are "Edit
Print" publishing house, "GSM" studio and "IBBY
Armenia" NGO . The last years' publications of mentioned publishing houses
including Tumanyan's children's literature, as well as fairy tales, stories,
cognitive books of other authors, illustrated books about Armenia are presented
to the book fair.
During exhibition-book fair "Armenian literature in translations" grant project (through this, the ministry supports abroad publishing houses to publish Armenian classic and modern literature) is presented to foreign publishing houses, literal agencies and translators. Within the framework of book fair, the director of National Children's Library, president of "IBBY Armenia" Ruzan Tonoyan met Amna Juma, the manager of "Kalimat Group" foundation, a prestigious publisher of UAE children's literature, discussed the collaboration abilities of translating Armenian and Arab children writers' books into two languages, as well as perspective other projects. Two sides have agreed to create Armenian-Arabic books, as well as implement programs of exchanging experience between Armenian and Arab publishers.
During these days specialists of book publishing sphere, representatives of Armenian community, guests visit Armenian stand. Armenian delegation with the support of director of Sharjah's "Ohannessian" school Varduhi Piliposyan has organized school children's and teachers' visit to Armenian stand, where Armenian publishing products are presented to children. Armenian delegation after the completion of book fair all exhibited books will donate to the library of "Ohannessian" school.
